How to get the setup wizard page on my wavlink AC1200 Range Extender?

To configure the wavlink extender settings, you need to access the administration login page of your extender. The login page can be accessed in two ways by using the default IP Address or by accessing the wifi.wavlink.com.

Setup a connection between extender to router

You need to connect your wavlink ac1200 extender to the router for accessing the login page. Follow these given steps to do this.

Take an ethernet cable and connect one part into the host router WAN port and another part to the extender WAN port. Make sure the connection is finger tight and the cable is inserted to the right port. Ensure connectivity status by checking the WAN LED indicator on the wavlink Extender.

Connect computer/laptop to the extender network

After connecting the router to the extender, you need to connect your computer with the extender to access the wavlink extender login page. You can also get the login page on your phone but it’s better to use a computer screen compared to a mobile tiny screen.

Connection through Wi-Fi

Enable Wi-Fi on your laptop and wait until you will get the Wavlink_Ext network. Connect with it using a security key which is available at the back side of your extender.

Connection through cable

Use a LAN cable and connect one side to the extender LAN port and another side to the computer LAN port. The connection needs to be correct and finger tight. Ensure connection by checking network status on your computer.

Access http //ap.setup wavlink for login

On the same computer open any web browser and search http //ap.setup wavlink to get the wavlink extender login page. Now enter the login details such as password and username for login. Use ‘admin’ if you are trying to log in the first time.

After login, you will redirect to the main settings page of your wavlink extender. Select the mode which you are using, for example, “repeater mode”.

Here select your host router SSID from the given list of nearby active networks. Connect with it by entering the network security key of your wireless router.

The router is connected to the extender and you can connect your devices to the extender network and enjoy endless streaming.

Want to change the wavlink ac1200 extender SSID or Wi-Fi key?

After login, click on the advanced settings option, here you need to tap on the wireless network.

Now, select any one frequency from 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz, which you want to configure. After selecting choose SSID and rename it.

To change the password, select security type and enter a new password. Don’t forget to apply your changes.

Forgot the wavlink ac1200 login password? Reset it easily!

If you are unable to log in using wifi.wavlink.com or forgot the login password. You can reset the extender to get back your settings or password.

Turn on your extender and press the reset button using a sharp pin for 15 seconds. Until the LED indicators of the extender will off.

The wavlink extender is reset successfully, use ‘admin’ as password for login.
